I am pleased to announce that Wendy A. Fleming, Esq. is a new associate of the firm.

Wendy has been a lawyer since 1995 and graduated from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She is an experienced and accomplished lawyer focusing her practice on Workers’ Compensation cases.

She is active in the Philadelphia Bar Association and was appointed to The Judge Alexander F. Barbieri Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court. She is an asset to the Firm.

ADDITION OF UNINSURED GUARANTY FUND HAD GENESIS IN PA. Bar Association WORKERS’ COMPENSATION LAW SECTION

The addition of the Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund in the 2006 amendments has its genesis in the advocacy of PA Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Law Section member Lenard A. Cohen.
Mr. Cohen first proposed this innovation in 1999. Eventually, along with Hal Banks, he prepared a report that was approved by the section. Thereafter, he presented the recommendation to the entire PA Bar Asspcoatopm, which approved the idea.

He now remarks, “I am so glad that it was passed. It is truly a great benefit for the injured workers of this Commonwealth who are faced with an uninsured employer.”

125 Firms Raise Nearly $1.5 Million for Legal Services

With the addition of Law Offices of Lenard A. Cohen, P.C., 125 firms have pledged nearly $1.5 million in support of Chancellor Alan M. Feldman’s Raising the Bar Campaign to support legal services.
The 125 law firms, representing more than 4,600 attorneys, have pledged $1,470,170. The Raising the Bar Campaign is a joint effort by the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Foundation to increase funding for Philadelphia public interest law centers. Each firm made a pledge of at least $300 per attorney in its Philadelphia office, with a number of firms committing to as much as $500.
